There was a problem with the door key not working, so we didn't leave as early as planned, but we still managed to get on the road by 9:30:
First, we drove by the Salines and their wind mills along the coast South of Trapani:
We then went to Marsala, which boasts a very attractive one street old town paved with marble, and graced with a wonderful cathedral with a bunch of side chapels, each with a slightly different extremely attractive neoclassical multicolored marbles altar. I ended up photographing all of them for future reference:
The old town also had lot of beautiful doorways.
We then headed for Selinunte, a Greek Archeological site on the coast, with mostly ruined temples that gave the impression they were built by giants. Huge piles of fallen columns and lintels lay about, and I climbed over them(with some difficulty coming down...):
